They even had a sweet ribbon cutting ceremony and a blessing (see above). It was supposed to be a solemn occasion, one for reflecting on dogs less fortunate than ours, etc., etc. Except - we had THIS going on in the background through the entire blessing:
And without Biggie to censor his pictures and edit the posts, I extracted a frame from the video that shows Biggie in a more goofy and less-regal light as he tries to get the dogs to play with him. Prom King, indeed - Court Jester is more like it. His body language is pretty easy to read.

Looking Good Biggie-Z!!!
Oh look! Santa Paws was there! You look soooo happy running around with your friends, Biggie.
Butt wiggles,
Solid Gold Dancer
oh u lucky pooch... that is such a great place to hang out
The snow looks awesome. So cool on the feet! Madison would look very striking against the white ... today she rolled and rolled in the dirt, then stood in the baby pool and emitted clouds of dirt that looked squid ink. It was pretty astounding, actually. Everyone came over to look. And I was just thinking, "my floors. my car. ack."
Biggie - I would like that park because they keep the little dogs on their own side of the fence. Little dogs make me nervous.
You really look great all running around and SMILING!!!
Slobbers,
Mango
I like how at the very end of the video, you can hear some lady go, "There's some big dogs here!"
Or maybe that was you!
Absolute Awesomeness! I am thinking court jester myself. He looks so happy to be there with his new friends.
What a pawsome example of happy, friendly dog play behaviour! Perhaps Biggie could teach Dannan a few things....
Madison - I do that too. I turn into a gray dog. Or I look patchy tan and gray like a Great Pyrenees. My humans clean the car and the apartment often, but it's a futile task.
Mango - little dogs are funny, but you do have to be confident with them. Otherwise they'll just bark in your face the whole time. And you have to be really, really careful not to step on them. They don't like that.
Lindsay - that was someone else, but I'm sure they were talking about me!
Saints - wish you could come play too. I am definitely a Court Jester, just a good looking one. You should see me when I roach.
Dannan, I would love to play with you! The key to playing nicely is to learn to be confident. If your mom builds your confidence then you can be a little calmer when dogs come up and want to play. I'll admit it's easier when you're big. If all else fails, do something silly that makes them laugh. That always breaks the tension.
